The 700-unit residential complex was designed as an affordable alternative to housing for the arts communities. Conceived as a series of terraced towers over a continuous podium for commercial and creative spaces, the design created an architectural setting that offered a generous amount of outdoor and indoor places for social, intellectual, and ideological exchanges for the residents and the neighboring communities. The simple palette of façade materials included high-performance glass, aluminum composite panels, and perforated aluminum guardrail panels. The community of towers provided a dignified nexus for the creatives within a city that was at risk of losing their artistic energy to capitalistic priorities.
