Yung-Jen brings extensive expertise in the design of significant mixed-use projects at master plan and architectural scales. With over 30 years of experience, his body of work includes hundreds of million square feet of retail, office, residential, and hospitality spaces in North and South Americas, Asia, and the Middle East.

Yung-Jen’s design reflects a keen understanding of the client’s vision and cultivates a strong sense of place through its history, geography, and sociocultural background. He has won numerous design competitions, and his projects have earned prestigious awards and been widely published. Among his largest projects are Nimble Plaza in Guangzhou, China, a 3.2 million SF transit-oriented development featuring a 660 feet tall luxury hotel and class-A office tower, two 500 feet office towers, an open-air shopping district, and an underground mall directly connected to a subway station; OCT MXD in Hubei, China, a 6.5 million SF mixed-use development comprising six iconic towers, a four-story shopping center, an open-air retail district, and entertainment venues; and Midea Plaza in Foshan, China, a 30-story mixed-use tower combining hotel, office, and retail uses located beside a scenic lake.

With his effective communication skills, Yung-Jen secures client confidence in their decision-making processes and cements long-term partnerships. He is committed to fostering collaboration with colleagues and consultants to improve the project design and performance while managing feasibility and efficiency in the project delivery. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring emerging architects, contributing to the growth of the profession and the elevation of the design community.

Born in Taipei, Yung-Jen graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys traveling and embracing different cultures. He and his wife raised two daughters in Dallas, where they designed and built their home and garden by drawing inspiration from Japanese design and aesthetic.
