| Yen is a gifted architect who takes the rein on all aspects of architectural practice at 5G. One of the founding partners, Yen codified the firm’s operational methodology, establishing protocols ranging from the definition of design documents to the management of fluid collaboration and communication among project team members. Yen’s comprehensive knowledge of the architectural process stems from his 12+ years as an Associate and Account/ Project Manager at The Beck Group. While there, he amassed an impressive portfolio which includes his role as the Project Architect for the Nasher Sculpture Center designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Renzo Piano. Yen’s works while at 5G range from small boutique healthcare facilities to high-rise hotel buildings. His primary responsibility is the process delivery of technical design content. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Yen holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University. He is a licensed architect in Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Yen’s works have been published in Texas Architect and Contract magazines. Yen was the recipient of the “2007 Professional Conceptual Winner” award in the International Healthcare Environment Competition organized by the Center for Health Design for his entry on the LegacyER project. |
