Preston Trail Community Church

Frisco, Texas

5G devised a design to transform this abandoned, toxic manufacturing facility, into a multi-purpose worship center retrofitted to suit the dynamic, progressive spiritual needs of Preston Trail Community Church. The building allocation consisted of a 600 seat sanctuary and religious education areas for children and youth ministries. The design called for open spaces with access to exterior views and daylight where community activities are planned and adapted selective existing interior walls to define the educational areas. Where walls have been removed, existing steel structures are painted and left exposed within the new wide open spaces. The project infuses a new dynamic life into a derelict facility and is conceptually aligned with the mission of the ministry.
