Architects who are designing the new Virgin Hotel for Dallas’ Design District are giving a first look at the building.
The 200-room hotel is scheduled to open on Hi Line Drive at Turtle Creek Boulevard in early 2018.
5G Studio Collaborative is designing the glass and metal building.
Dallas’ Dunhill Partners, which is developing the hotel with Vinculum Partners and the Crosland Group, announced plans for the project last summer.
The hotel will replace a 25,000 square-foot brick showroom and warehouse building on the property.
Construction is set to start on the project this spring.
Dunhill Partners in 2014 bought 33 acres and about 700,000 square feet of buildings in the Design District.
Dunhill is also working on plans for a Design District office tower on Stemmons Freeway at Edison Street, just across the highway from Victory Park.
