FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DALLAS, October 21, 2015 – The North Dallas Chamber of Commerce selected 5G Studio Collaborative and SWC Group, L.P. as the 2015 Business of the Year Award winners at a luncheon presented by Comerica Bank. Jimmie Dale, Jr., CEO of Baker Brothers Plumbing & Air Conditioning, the 2014 NDCC Business of the Year, was the featured speaker.

Each year, the award is given to businesses that offer high-quality products or services, demonstrate strong ethical standards, exhibit leadership with their employees and clients and within their industry and are active in the community. This year, the two winners were selected from 43 businesses that were nominated.

5G Studio Collaborative is an architecture firm that has been in business for 10 years and whose projects include the Omni Dallas Hotel, the new Women  and Infants Specialty Health  (WISH) Clinic on the new Parkland Hospital Campus and BenHil Tower in Indonesia. “This is an incredible honor,” said 5G Studio Collaborative Co-Founding Partner Jacob Tindall, “We’ve gotten a lot of awards for our design efforts, which is what we’re known for, but this award is special because in the interview process we talked about what makes it possible, and that is our employees. We have such an incredibly talented staff. How we communicate with each other and mentor each other and our community outreach – all of those things are what really makes us who we are.”

After more than 40 years in business, SWC Group continues to be one of the nation’s leading providers of accounts receivable management and consumer service solutions.  They bring proven experience in the tolling, government, utility, telecommunications, cable, property management, and education industries. “SWC is extremely excited to be honored with this award,” Says CEO Jeff Hurt.  “Our employees have made strong commitments to give back to the communities we serve, by providing value to our clients and by frequently participating in community service initiatives.  We are successful because of the dedication and support that they give to SWC, and we are thrilled to share the accomplishment with them.”

Criteria for the award include:

  • In business for at least five years
  • Locally owned or locally owned franchise
  • One to 300 employees (Winners are named in two categories: 1 – 150 employees; 151 – 300 employees)
