ANNA, TX - Nicole is 13-years-old. She contacted Make-A-Wish North Texas and asked for help making a dream come true.
She did not want a trip or to meet an actor or a popular teen singer. She asked for something that she could share with her twin sister Ashley.
Nicole simply wanted a tree house.
She worked with her identical twin sister Ashley to come up with an idea. The idea would allow her to continue sharing her life with the one person who has been with her since the very beginning.
Make-A-Wish North Texas received the request. It was an unusual request, but organization officials got to work making it reality.
The organization’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Nicole’s medical condition qualified her to make a wish, but construction of such a building was no easy task.
Organizers contacted 5G Studio Collaborative, L.L.C. and asked for help. 5G is the architecture firm that designed the Dallas Omni Hotel. This was just one of the many companies that worked to build the tree house. Parkhill Development Corporation, CenterPoint Energy, Spring Valley Construction Company, Triune Services Group, Briggs Equipment, Hull & Associates, Ennovative Millwork, L.L.C., Builders FirstSource, Inc., MasTec, G.N.P. Inc., Creekwood Church, The Common Men and Ace Décor & Finishes were all major contributors to the project.
Now, Nicole and Ashley are enjoying a two room, modernly decorated tree house. It is a dream come true for a teen who continues to share.
